Can I link my savings account to my checking account?
Yes, you can link your savings to your checking to avoid overdrafts and the fees associated with it.
Can I use ATMs for free?
You can use any Pinnacle Bank or Bank of Colorado ATM for FREE. Transactions at foreign ATMs are subject to fees, depending on the ATM provider.
Do I have to put down a minimum deposit?
All checking accounts require a minimum opening deposit of $100.
How do I avoid overdraft fees?
To avoid overdraft fees, protect your account with a Ready Reserve Line of Credit or an automatic transfer from another Pinnacle Bank account.
How do I reconcile my checking account?
It's a good idea to keep a check register and record your transactions as you spend. We'll send you a monthly statement which you can use to compare to your register and update your checking balance.
How do I set up direct deposit for my checking account?
Contact your employer to set up direct deposit of your payroll.
Is online or mobile banking offered?
Online and mobile banking are available FREE of charge.
Is there a minimum balance requirement?
Depends on the account opened. Free Checking, Select Checking and Diamond Secure do not have a minimum balance requirement.
Is there a monthly maintenance fee?
Fees are dependent upon the account opened. Some accounts have a maintenance fee, depending upon the minimum balance or services requested.
What is the difference between a checking account and a savings account?
A checking account is used for everyday purchases and household spending. A savings account is used to set money aside for larger purchases or household emergencies and should not be used for everyday transactions.
What should I do if I lose my debit card?
Contact your local Pinnacle Bank immediately, or call our customer support center at 1-800-227-7715. You can also restrict your card using the Card Management feature in our mobile app.
