DEPOSIT SERV REP 1

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Researches and corrects non-post for DDA, SAV, SDB, LAS and COD applications.  Coordinated the processing of on us return items, is responsible for processing the charge-back notices.  Reviews Stop Payment Reports for suspect Stop Pays.  Print Interest checks, review deposits made remotely by our business customers, place Reg. CC holds and misc. exception reports. Performs other job-related duties. Processes domestic Collection Items, Reg-CC hold requests, Research requests from the branches.  Safe E Negative Accounts, DDA Consumer Product Exceptions, CIP, TIN Uncertified, and External Transfers.  Port Addenda Maintenance, Returned Debit Cards and IOLTA reporting.  Various customer letters.  All duties are performed on a rotated basis.   
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Provide excellent customer service over the phone, via email and in person to both internal and external customers.
  2. Is responsible for locating and correcting DDA, COD, SDB, LAS and Savings account numbers for all items that non-post and the reconcilement of the account.   
  3. Is responsible for printing, reviewing for accuracy and mailing customer interest checks.
  4. Review of mobile deposits.
  5. Completes research requests for banks and helps resolve service issues for our customers. Requests received by 3:00 should be done the same day.
  6. Processes Domestic Collection Items. 
  7. Other duties as assigned by management.
  8. Regular and reliable attendance.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of ITI preferred.  
  • Knowledge of windows-based programs on either an IBM or Macintosh Computer.  
  • Ability to operate a PC with keyboard accuracy and speed.  
  • Ability to provide good customer service and telephone courtesy.   
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure meeting critical deadlines and have multitask abilities.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School or equivalent
  • Accounting and bank experience is preferred.  
  • Must have prior balancing/reconcilement experience and be familiar with internal general ledger systems.

Mon - Fri 8am-5pm with rotation 9am-6pm shift
