Overdraft Prevention
An overdraft can occur when you inadvertently write a check or do an electronic debit for more money than you have available in your checking account. This could cost you expensive overdraft fees.
Pinnacle Bank offers numerous ways to help you avoid overdraft fees.
- Monitor Your Balance - Track the money you deposit into and withdraw from your account. Use PinnBank - Online Banking on a regular basis to track your spending. We also have Mobile Banking for those times when you are on the go.
- Set Up Alerts - With Messenger, you can set up various alerts on your account to warn you when your balance is getting low or when large items post to your account
- Link Your Checking Account to a Savings Account - If the accounts are linked and you do not have enough money in your checking account to cover a transaction, the bank will transfer funds from your savings account to your checking account to cover the difference.
- Ready Reserve Line of Credit - Apply for a line of credit that will automatically cover your overdraft should you not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction.
If you have a concern about your account, or to discuss any of our overdraft prevention options, contact your local Pinnacle Bank or Overdraft Services at 888-773-0016. For more ideas, download our Overdraft Prevention Brochure.
