Our story began in 1938 in Palmer, Nebraska.  George Dinsdale, a farmer and cattle feeder, and some friends decided Palmer was in need of a bank, as the Great Depression had taken its toll on banking services in Palmer.

They opened State Bank Palmer, the forerunner of our banking company today known as Pinnacle Bancorp, Inc.

In the late 1950's George's sons Roy and Jack began acquiring other banks in good communities across Nebraska.  Soon they were expanding into other states, Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming.  Their philosophy never changed, hire good people to run good banks in good towns.  This community banking philosophy continues today with each market having its own President and team that manage their market.  This autonomy gives each market where there is a Pinnacle Bank an institution that is part of the community and responsive.  Although each Pinnacle Bank location shares technology and standard banking practices, they serve their market and its unique needs as they see it.  Local decision making, local service, with the technology, products and capabilities of a regional bank. 

Pinnacle Bancorp Inc. today is a bank holding company with four charters:  Pinnacle Bank Nebraska, Pinnacle Bank Wyoming, Pinnacle Bank Texas and Bank of Colorado.

So, here we are many years later continuing this philosophy.  With 121 locations, in eight states, $6.5B in assets and now a third generation of Dinsdales in the business, we are proud of the Pinnacle people who will make sure you experience:
